On Campus Rates 2009-2010

Rent freeze in Rye and River Apartments!  In 2010 the rent will remain at 2009 rates

Deposits & Rent

Residents pay a €500 deposit for campus accommodation for 2009-10.  €485 is a security deposit which also covers utility bills, unused part of the deposit is returned at the end of their stay.  Rent on campus is paid in two instalments, one prior to moving in and the other towards the end of January.  Rates for individual halls are listed below.  €15 of the deposit is a contribution to the Campus Social and Cultural Club which will provide the welcome receptions as well as subsidised activities for campus residents.  The rates for the University Village Apartments will be posted as soon as they become available.

If you live on campus in 2009-10 you will receive regular statements of your energy usage.  In 2009-10 we will be focussing on energy conservation so all residents will be required to reduce energy usage and also recycle.

Your campus lease is based on 38 weeks so if you were to use an average of €10 per week in electricity and gas costs you will use up €380 of your €485 deposit.  This year we will be helping studentsto save energy and reduce their bills.

All payments for Rye and River Apartments are to be made online.  Visa, Mastercard and Laser are accepted.

Refund Policy

Students pay per semester. If a student leaves accommodation during a the semester they will not be automatically entitled to a refund.  If however, the Residence Office finds a replacement student to take over the room, the student who has left will receive a refund, less a €70 early departure fee.  Please be aware that leases/agreements are signed for either one or two semesters and that students are expected to pay for the full semester f they have committed to stay that semester.
