If you wish to live with other Irish speakers on campus let us know. On the campus application form there is a section which asks if you would like to live with other Irish speakers. If you do, simply tick the box on the online application form.

If you get campus accommodation, we will then place you in an apartment in Gweedore Hall where a lot of our Irish speakers live. We will also endeavour to place you with other Irish speakers. If we have uneven numbers there is a possibilty that there will be some non-Irish speakers in your apartment but you will still be in Gweedore Hall where there will be a number of other Irish speakers.

In an effort to promote the use of Irish in the apartments we will be hosting some cultural events on campus each year. If you have any ideas of how to promote the language in the campus apartments please let us know and hopefully together we can come up with some events. All you need to do is let Niamh, our supervisor of the Residences know or talk to any of the Resident Assistants or any of the Residence Office staff. We will be glad to work with you to help promote the language.
